What the heck is this boat?

This boat is said to be a 1974 23' scepter. It's a Chevy 350 IO. I'm no sea craft Pro but the hull to me does not look like a Potter. Can anyone confirm if it is or not? Thanks in advance!

It is NOT a SeaCraft. Not even close.

Thanks for the response Flexpat. Thats very upsetting... I was hoping it was a formula hull or something. Sic is definitely the destination for seacraft though... correct?

Spruill242 06-01-2018 07:07 AM

Looks like an F23 style hull.

Topflitegraphics 06-01-2018 09:55 AM

Sure looks like someone did a HIN swap on it. Hull looks wrong for a SC :(

Capt Chuck 06-01-2018 10:49 AM

Looks like an 80's " T Craft" with the wrong insignia attached

@captchuck... thats it! Its an 80s T Craft!!! Wtf... definitely the old h i n switch-a-roo for sure topflightgraphics. I was on my way to look at this boat too.

With a Seacraft sticker slapped on it I bet at some point that boat was in Miami lol

sisu22 06-01-2018 10:36 PM

That guy who listed it knows it not a seacraft

Crustycraft 06-02-2018 11:15 AM

Sisu22 and he was going to let me take the 2.5 hour trip out to Jersey to look at the boat. I just checked Craigslist and he still has it listed as a sea craft despite the fact I told him yesterday it definitely was not. He also made up some BS excuse about his crappy phone and would not send me a picture of the hin number.

crusty craft ,looked at it 3 years ago , told him not a seacraft,
I think he likes trolling people , north jersey hillbilly

Windshield and hull combination says it's an Apollo, or an Omega Craft. Both are knock-offs of the '69-'73 T-Craft made in Titusville, Florida. Heavy hulls, but absolutely nothing to recommend them.

DonV 06-04-2018 04:48 PM

T-craft well known to loosen fillings and make chiropractors and back surgeons rich on anything over 1' - 2' chop!!!

db3155 06-12-2018 10:43 AM

T-craft

My buddy used to have a T-Craft piece of crap.............We live in Cocoa and it rode like a bucking bronco. We called it the potato chip hull. We both own the real deal Sea Crafts and there is no comparison

dginge 06-18-2018 11:12 PM

Looks like an Apollo to me. The transom is the give away that’s what it is

Terry England 06-20-2018 08:30 PM

Islander V-22/FishandSki/Omega/Seaport/John Almond etc. all pretty much the same mold. Don’t ride as well as a Seacraft but push pretty easy with minimal HP.
