I was wonderin’ iffen anybody heard from Spidey-Crab and iffen he was planin to make a run across the Sunshine State fur some bay scallops over in Homer-sasser. I newd he made the trip the last couple of years but I ain’t herd nuttin from him and wondering if he took up golf er somethin? Me and Dougie always like meetin up wif him and his Cuz and havin’ a beer at the Freezer. Anybody heard from Spidey?

Bring dat Jon boat like you did last year an we’ll anchor up right off MacRea’s again. I’ll paint a new sign what says “WILL CLEAN UR SCALLOPS - $25 A BUCKET”. Dem Knot heads go out and git sunburnt scalloping all afternoon an den start dreaming about steamed shrimp and a cold beers at the Freezer or listenin’ to da band at the Shed and they jus throw money at you. It was unreal We made good foldin money last year an we picked up dem two Walmart Barbies an went out to Hungry Howies fur pizza. Man that was livin.

Now I remember those WM Barbies you guys picked up, I forgot you went upscale to Hungry Howies. Too bad the Waffle House was closed.

I was the only person at the walmart whilst waiting for sammiches not wearing camo.

Well, I've been absent from the forum more often than not the past few years, but Julie and I have had fun with you guys at McRae's and the Freezer in past years. I haven't seen anything on the forum about a fall gathering, but time is growing short before the end of scallop season. So Julie and I made reservations at McRae's for September 7th and 8th. I don't know if they have any rooms left for that weekend, but come join us if you can. It would even be good to see that cretin SpiderCrab again.

Okey Dokey, Me an Dougie and Ms. Marsha will git a room too an maybe help the Cheap Bastard fry up some of “Long Deck” Kenny’s and Terry’s fish what da always git. Dem two is like sendin’ Chuck Norris and Silvester Stallone in to “take care of bisness” when it comes to “bringin’ home da bacon”. I’m thinkin about “moldin’ my life” after those two. They are AWESOME - First I jus need to git a XXXL wetsuit!

Getting the old trailer ready for a cross state trip (hopefully).

FYI:

I booked two rooms, just in case..
Plan to use the Gator Room for all of us to use for the weekend ! :D

That way we have spare bunks for over flow..
Terry & Marsha had it the last few times, but when it was time to
pull the beds out of the wall, partying and cleaning was still going on..

This way rain or shine we are covered for the entire weekend..
Leaving the tables set-up and a place to store cooking stuff, tackle, liquor, beer etc.. Humm, Bar set-up this might just work..
No need for designated driver. :p

So with that, anyone wanting to visit come on down with or without a boat !

I moved here to Shalimar from living on the Withlacoochee River/Lake Rousseau in Citrus County near Inglis, and loved scalloping every year.

This coming Friday will be here before we know it...
Patti and I will be bringing 10 lbs. of fresh shrimp to steam
Saturday night for our pot luck supper.. Also making tartar sauce
and shrimp dip and a big pot of coleslaw!

I will hit Sam's club this week for plates and plastic ware & paper towels ....

Capt. Chuck & Lil will be bringing black beans & rice with chopped
onions ....

Also have vacuum bags of frozen Red Snapper & Mango's
from 2 weeks ago just in case our diver group does not stick anything..:eek:

This is a Scallop trip, but as most of you know there are many fish for the taking while engaged in scalloping... ;)

For the rest that plan on coming, please help to fill the voids of food..

Anita is bringing deviled eggs and a desert. Lmg fwd to it!

OK, I've got the fish fry stuff taken care of, oil, fry mix, hush puppies, cooker, propane, etc., and will bring some dolphin to fry. I also have paper bowls, plates, plastic ware, plastic glasses, napkins, etc. left over from other gatherings.

Yes Sir Ken on the key limes, I'll take what you want to give me!!!!!!!!!!! The ones I got from you last year were real nice :)

They make a killer beurre blanc sauce.

Key lime margaritas!!!!! Mel is making a carrot cake and I am making baked Mac and cheese. Hope to get the fresh fish covered Friday. Bloody decks are coming!

Kim and I will be bringing baked beans and some Dolphin for brother Don to fry up.

My friend that is coming with his 27 SeaCraft is also bringing 5 lbs.
of groupar, 5 lbs. of snappars' & 5 lbs.of shrimps..... :D

My mouth is watering already.....

We are going to have way more food than people... Again. I'll make some Jambalaya again. With luck it will have fresh scallops in it.

When is everyone getting there? Mel and I will be there Thursday.

I’ve got a standard double reserved for Thursday. Questionable if I will make it, watching 24 hour cancellation by 4 pm Wed, unless GFS wants it. Will be there Fri with 76 Seafari, 79 MA disappointingly delayed. No shrimp in freezer yet, clams closed. Venison burger and breakfast sausage thaws quick. But nice an easy on a closely watched grill. Let me know.
