Just throwing it out there to see who might be interested in a 2019 Spring Gathering in May or June?

NoBones 02-05-2019 07:17 PM

My swamp date & I are in......:eek::D

Go ahead Jimbo take the lead and make it happen !!

Old'sCool 02-05-2019 07:25 PM

When and where?

NoBones 02-05-2019 09:43 PM

River Palm in Jensen Beach, FL. is really the perfect venue for our
style of gatherings on the East side. with Macrae's on the west coast in the fall.

Remember the "NO" Dockside Inn in Ft. Pierce screwed us up last year.

Patti & I celebrated her big 60 last year at Benihana's in Stuart
the 31st of May....

Lets Do-it again, & again & again....

Hey Ken- about three weeks ago I was out with a friend on his 38’ Campbell. As we passed Dockside he remarked about the expense of these long docks which are virtually empty due to thr current ripping through. He said not too bad near the shoreline.

The best availability is on the weekend of June 1st & 2nd. (Sat/Sun) to book your room talk to Jessica at (772) 334-0401. At this time, standard hotel rooms $99/night, 1BR $134-149, and 2BR cottages $259 are available. Time is of the essence as rooms are filling up and their property only has 23 units total.

UPDATE: It looks like the dates are changing to 6/14 - 6/16/19 in order for us to have use of the big Tiki pavilion.

You might want to make a poll or something so you can keep track of who is signing up..and to keep this on the number one post, so it does not get buried.

uncleboo 02-06-2019 02:34 PM

Nail down the date so I can start working this out, please.

NoBones 02-06-2019 04:14 PM

HOLD THE PRESSES !!!

Only good available dates so that we have the use of the Tiki Hut is
06/14-16 Fri, Sat & Sun...

As always this needs to happen fairly quick on a decision from
all of you. George (The owner River Palm) stated as of today the
rooms are mostly wide open !!

We have to have a minimum booking of 10 rooms as to not be charged
for the use of the hut. With out the use it basically not worth it for us..

Already been in touch with Jimbo today to get this off the ground and set..

Let your wishes be known, as after talking to the Daytona crew 5 rooms
would be gone right now..

More later.

rcnight 02-06-2019 05:43 PM

Wasn't there talk about a group going over to Grand Cay about that same time - maybe a few days later? Maybe this could be a kick-off?

Old'sCool 02-07-2019 05:36 AM

Just FYI......Fathers Day is June 16,2019

NoBones 02-07-2019 10:27 PM

What better way to spend Fathers Day.....:D

Making my reservation in the AM !

I`ll BOOOOOOOOOk my picnic table tomorrow.

rcnight 02-08-2019 08:41 PM

How were the trailers stored last year? Isn’t there a public ramp just down the street?

NoBones 02-08-2019 08:59 PM

They have a storage yard / lot just to the north.. Had no problems !
Public boat ramp just to the south, as well no problem !

7 rooms booked already ! They only have 23 total...

Islandtrader 02-15-2019 11:22 AM

I'm afraid they would be some ugly shirts. The t-shirts should have a picnic table and a bent prop with a fruity drink in the background! :p

They have lots of picnic tables there.

Big, Beautiful, Dry picnic tables.

Good thing Wood floats at the delta.

The shirt idea is very entertaining.

hey guys, quick questions-
so i got a good buddy that lives in palm city, on a canal. he has a 2850 bluewater. he is a single guy that has business travels around the world and i checked with him on these dates, he will be home that weekend. it's a large house and we've stayed down there before for the stuart boat shows, my wife and i would have our own room.
so i guess what i'm trying to say, if we stay there that weekend, and i just stay with him, would we still be welcome to bring the bluewater and hang out some or would i need to drag the seacraft? it's kind of easy just to hop on my buddies boat as he would want to be in it all weekend anyway while he's home. he's a big seacraft fan himself but couldn't pass up the deal he got on the bluewater when he was in the market.

DonV 02-19-2019 11:41 AM

Only if you bring beer! :) :)

Capt Terry 02-19-2019 06:33 PM

Before moving to SC, we lived on Hidden River in Palm City. It's still a pretty nice place! Neat-Sea was at our dock for about 9 years except for hurricanes and bottom painting.

yeah, Dyer Point, beautiful area. the entire neighborhood has a dock on a canal.
he has 2 lifts, one for the offshore boat (bluewater), one for the inshore boat (new 22 pathfinder). a beautiful restored 13 whaler stays on davits to cruise around in the hood when he doesn't feel like messin with the bigger rides. everybody in the hood cruises around in small boats instead of golfcarts when they go see each other- what a life!

Heck Sandy how can you go wrong at this place??? All the really nice, large Five Star picnic tables are under the cover so rain should not bother you like Long Point!! And if I remember there are ceiling fans to keep you cool!! I mean shoot, you don't have to worry about the mosquitoes or no-see-ums just turn the fans on high!! :)

Just saw this! I'm in! Now I just have to get my boat finished in time.

BTW - June 16th is my B-Day and I planned on spending it on my boat anyways. Now I have even more incentive to get her done :)
