1973 23 CC rub rail
I know a lot of discussion on site about rub rail here. I am looking for what I think is maybe the original black looks maybe flexible and wide enough to to go over the lip/reveal were cap meets hull so as the bottom of rubrail sits on hull not cap. I would imagine about 1 7/8 wide. Anyone have this. Happy Easter to all. Keith

That rail detail shows the rubber downturn outboard of the hull. Bushwacker told me that was original in the early Potter hull era, and that that small detail acted as a final spray deflector. Thanks Denny, wish I could remember everything you told me. Haha. Happy travels my friend.

I reused that one on mine also.

My 79 doesn’t have it. Is this same rail available with a stainless insert?
Michael. |
Bracket is for the 25” motor
The rub rail does act as a spray rail I’m sure not as well as a full spray rail would but does help. As with all the CC’s I’ve been on if the winds kickin up your getIn wet Not sure if you can get a stainless insert or not you would have to call them and check they were very easy to work with and prompt in getting the rub rail to me |
