I keep coming back to this idea that it would be great to have a thread of inspired and artistic details pulled from years of projects. The recent side scupper vs rear scupper discussion brings to mind some well-conceived and proven designs that really deserve to be showcased. Without getting too involved, maybe it is a picture or two with a link to the creators build thread. Thru-hull designs, tank mounting blocks, stem reinforcement, backing plates... you see where I’m going? Maybe learn from other members trials and give credit for the ideas that not only add artistic elements but help us preserve our prized possessions.

Go ahead and start the thread and I’ll make it a sticky and we’ll see where it goes.

My favorite part of custom boats are the details. I have a huge folder of boat details. I just save the image so (unfortunately) there is no build to reference or credit. Non of these are mine just stuff I've collected.

Here are some transoms

Pretty boat! I’m a sucker for yellow SeaCrafts.

I can't take credit for the previous mods to this boat I just bought, but I found this tank shelf and the stringers solid as a rock when I removed the 30 gal tank the PO installed. I was pretty impressed with how solid and dry everything is in the bilge. FWIW; my forward vents have the openings facing aft. I am assuing that means they are open the wrong direction, and I plan to turn them around (as long as they are symmetrical).
