Beautiful! Mind sharing the colors? Ice blue hull side? What about the bottom? Definitely agree that we need more photos. :)
|
More pics!!. Specs on what was done. Looks like a Competition console. Still in the fabrication of my 23.
|
Tomorrow I will try to make a set of photos.
|
Got the same engine on my boat, excellent torque and economy, you'll love it!
|
How did you plumb the leaning post/livewell? I have the same model but don't know what fittings I need to install. The fill fitting is the 1 that's got me baffled.

I will try to post all the work, maybe it should be moved to the corresponding section by a moderator. Please excuse the English and it is very possible that some photos are not in order. It all took me about 2 years in my free time

The center piece was taken from a very light and very resistant fiber electric pole,a hybrid of kevlar in the keel and in the grips of the stringers to reinforce where the fuel and water tank will go.A couple of pieces of laminated fiberglass to shape the front and back of the strigers, the part where the gas hose will pass was sealed and a couple of conduits for everything necessary was placed. 6 pieces of g10 were glued inside the stringers where the gas tank would be fixed.I raised the height of the sole or deck about 2 3/4" (total when finished) by laying down some long pieces of home depot and preparing for the foam backfill.

Damn.....I'm impressed!!! Very nice work! :)

109 gallon gas and 22 gallon water (never enough water when you have children and grandchildren) |
9 Attachment(s)
Making a molded coffin to rest the gas tank isolated from the bottom, not foamed only coal tar epoxy, slightly raised supported on the keel and the stringers (only for the gas tank). In the front a well insulated fish box and two support fiber channels to strengthen the hatch without flexing. All properly sanded for paint application

This paint is excellent and super strong. Tanks installed. The fish box will drain through a 1" hose with a valve on the bottom of the transom, not a pump.
|
4 Attachment(s)
Before painting, I placed the seacocks and bilges pump seats
|
6 Attachment(s)
The deck made in three pieces sealed on all its edges even where the hatches go
|
7 Attachment(s)
A template for the third and last piece and making sure everything is ok

Tomorrow I will continue, excuse my English, I do this in gratitude to all the people who have shared their work, I am not an expert, I just tried to build my long-awaited seacraft and although it was difficult to do all the work(solo-man project), I just really enjoyed it a lot
|
Outstanding! Where is the boat?

After checking all, time to fix the rear hatch and the whole deck

Trying a quick mold for the transom cap
|
10 Attachment(s)
Reinforcing and ready to fix it. As I get older I like to have as much space as possible to work easily in the future,I also take advantage of the mold to make its 3 hatches

Wow man! You have amazing craftsmanship! Some boat builders would learn a great deal! I’m assuming you’ve done extensive glass work in the past?!
|
Thank for sharing. Love seeing the attention to detail. clean glass work and well thought out layout. You have answered lots of questions that have kept. me up nights thinking. Just by posting pictures. I fall victim to paralysis from analysis often. I mean, It's been almost four years since I started tearing mine apart. Back at it though and determined to get it done. Can't wait to see more of your pictures.
|
wow, ditto, just beautiful, excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
I have a 78 23cc queued up for a similar restore and book marked this thread as a great reference. Your build may have convinced me to fabricate an integrated bracket too. - eric |
Wow what an excellent build! That hull will last another 50 years.
I recognize so many parts of the inside of a seacraft that the causals never get to see! Great. |
Amazing. Such a beautiful boat and your craftsmanship and skill are unbelievable. Thanks for sharing.
