Sea Craft hull emblems/placards

2 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know what style and size (length & width) the emblems or hull placards, as we call them in the Mako underworld, would be for a 1988 Sea Craft? I've got a guy that has contacted me to make him a set. I've attached 2 pics of emblem styles. I just don't know which is period correct for 1988.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would be interested in a set for a 1973 Tsunami if you are making them.
Let me know, Thanks

I'm working on the design. I need to get some dimensions for the "purists" though. I've been making them for Makos for about 6 or 8 years now.

1988 had decals, not emblems. I have 3D CAD files for 60s vintage metal emblems (originals were zamak); there is a thread I put together about them. The metal emblems you show were never OEM; Carla Moesly (65bowrider) had those made but she sold them all to members.

My friend had an 89 and as I remember it, it looked just like this boat with Mercury. (Minus the top )

The dimensions don't bother us "purists", but the font does...;)

You wouldn't believe how nuts some of the Mako people can be. They buy a rotten 35-40 year old Mako and want nothing but OEM stuff on it... including cushions. At some point you just have to throw out the OEM dreams and go custom.

I have an `89 and that was factory from Slacker for `88 as well.

They looked like ass and are long gone.

I had Kauffs make some engine turned gold vinyl letters
in garamond font and they look nice. When they fail, they have the file
and it is an easy swap out.

The Potter era stickers were on eBay.
