a little lot of karma, rebirth of a 20....PART 2
I bought Bly's old boat that he restored in 2012 and documented on this forum. Well, this offseason I did my own part 2 to this restoration.

Went through the process of adding a doghouse over the past year. Have a lot of pictures and thought it would be worthwhile to document if anyone else is considering doing it. I love how it came out - shoutout to Todd at brewstercustomboats. This project suited my needs and gave me basically ability for 2 people to be fully out of the elements which is necessary for what I plan to do with the boat - fish it hard from April to November in Cape Cod. Also now have the ability to add a radar - a must in Chatham.

Doghouse being built. 3/8" solid fiberglass. Hard top popped out of a mold as well with coring.

Very cool, the old owner has a beautiful early SeaVee now that took the place of the SC. Jay did a lot of nice work on that hull.

Love it! How solid is the top, any flex when pushing side to side or pretty stable? Gonna put rocket launchers on or no? Will you use the u lock trim stuff to get the windows in? Looks like they kept the radius big enough to use window lock trim. I like the angles seems to fit the boat pretty nice.

that's all she wrote. last touch was adding a black old LED spreader bar which I found as a necessity for the early morning pitch black rides out of the harbor.

I cannot be happier with the outcome of this project. The doghouse completely transformed the boat. 2 people can be completely dry & warm regardless of conditions. I have pushed this boat to the limits regularly fishing 40 miles offshore (with all the proper safety equipment & rafts/epirbs/etc). The new Suzuki is awesome as well. I'd argue it would be difficult to find a better set up 20 foot boat out there.

Looks great! Very nice

Outstanding!

nice sled. have seen it at Ryders and out east. You put some miles on that thing.
Have you lifted any giants over the side wondering how much roll those hulls can handle? |
We have had very large fish over the gunnel and have not had any issues
|
Boat looks really nice. Clean looking dog house.

Love it and what you are doing with it!
