csy 23 sceptre

Did CSY build a 23 Sceptre. If so , from what year to what year did they build them . I'm looking at an enclosed transom with bracket version (seller says factory installed ) .The transom seems very solid on this boat compared to the sceptre I used to own. Any info would be appreciated .

Yes - Sceptres were built unitl 89 I think...

I've never heard of a factory bracked Seacraft - Bill Potter designed the Seamark brackets that Hermco sells and th's probably the closest thing you'll find...

i havea 23 septre 1980 built in tampa with a full transom with a sea drive bracket. i had to reinforce the transom when i raised the height of the sea drive. i met a man who worked on these boats, mine was number two. he told me that they did notuse mrine plywood in the transom. i didthis 5 years ago, no problems since. ilove the boat.

Hey, I am looking at closing in the transom on my boat and putting a bracket on it. If you get a chance, could you shoot a couple of pictures of the transoms on these boats so I could see how they did it (the layout of drains, live well, sculpers, etc). I have a couple of ideas, but nothing in concrete yet.
Thanks,
John

CSY built the 23 Sceptre during their ownership of SC, 1980-1986.
