Sounds like the owner is a little mistaken about the length of his/her boat. The 20' hull has been 19'6" LOA since the beginning. SeaCraft didn't start building a 21' (20'5" LOA) until the late '90s.

Could it be the cutter-rigged model with the bow sprit?

OK, what is the deal with what the 20's actual length is? The spec sheets in the reference section of this website say 19'8", whereas the current 2003 SeaCraft brochure says 19'6".

Yes, a person has to be pretty bored to care about those two inches but would anyone else with a spare moment care to venture a guess as to why the same hull measures two different lengths? Has inflation and a downturn in the economy shaved two inches off the percieved value/length of the SeaCraft 20?

(I'm happy that mine is an old one, and therefore 19'8"!)

I have to join Capn Brad on this one... Size is in the eye of the posessor (sp?).. I can speak for myself and say after 3 kids I got rid of all my inches !!!!!!. My boat hasn't seen water for 3 years and if I kept them I might as well use the boat as a planter in the front yard....
