Marc,
Solid boats with a great reputation, a few guys have them around here.
There was a broker that had one listed,I can look him up if you like.

Hi Doug, Squidrig, Thanks. I would like the brokers # if you find it. Also If you know how to get in touch with Eric, That would help. Marc

Re: QUESTION FOR NEW ENGLANDER'S

aYou guys can correct me if I am wrong, but I think the od JC boats are now being built by EASTERN in New Hampshire.

I fished on a JC out of Port of Egypt on Long Island. It was a pretty nice boat. Captain said he had made several runs down to the Bahamas in it. I think it was a 31 or 35.

You may want to check American Marine brokers in NEwburyport or Sea Dog Yacht Sales in Newburyport. They both might have a JC or two....because there are about 25 of them in the Merrimack River. I believe the local Sea Tow outfit uses one too.

Marc-

Here's the link to the site:

http://www.jcboat.com/

I fished on a 31 as a kid in high school. In my humble opinion, it is the best of the lot. The 27 is OK, but I wouldn't spend my money on one, even tho, I recently had one offered to me at a great price.

The 35 is an awful awful boat. Please don't even think of the 35. It is a scary boat in any sort of sea . Guys who have owned them rue the day that they spent money on them.

But the 31 rates as one of the all time great sea boats, we fished Nantucket Shoals in some horrible weather and I was never worried about that boat.
