destin florida ,panama city beach

I am headed down to destin and panama city beach area in august.
Have never been to the area, going to do some fishing and general checking the area out.
Usually go to w.palm, trying something different.
Any suggestions on where to go fishing and the area in general.
Thanks Doug

The fishing is good and you should be there at a good time. Don't listen to the locals whine about summer doldrums. Early mornings in the bays for red fish & speckled trout.
Miday in deep water for cobia, mackerel etc.

Enjoy!!

Plenty of excellent red snapper fishing on the artificial reefs this time of year, but be careful of the afternoon thunderstorms...they come in quick and can be unforgiving.
