Twin engines
WOnerding about power settups. Have a single 225 on my 23--seems pretty standard. Have heard some use twins, have also heard it makes a 23 too stern heavy. Any observations?

Re: Twin engines
Dunc. I have had a single 225 Johnson, twin '89 130hp yamaha's and now Suzuki 115hp efi 4 strokes. The 4 strokes burn fumes, cruise at 24 to 27 knots easy and top at 38kts. About 1 mph off of the 130's but I am currently using aluminum props and need to go up 1 notch on the transom holes. The 115's get out of the hole much better than the 225. As for weight, I moved my batteries under the console and I'm shortening my fuel tank from 8ft, 150 gal to 5 1/2 feet 105 gal's. I won't give up any range either. This should make the weight issue a non issue.
