hi, i'm from brunswick ga, and just recently bought a 1975cc seacraft,that i would like to restore, does anyone know where i can get help doing this,and does anyone have a used ttop for an 18',

all depends what you want done and how far you are willing to drive. What size is the boat and what are you hoping to have done to it??

If you are looking for physical help there are a lot of guys that will help you drink up all your beer, if you are looking for recommendations of what to do there are a again a lot of arm chair guys (like myself) that will talk you through it. If you are looking to spend lots of $$$ don’t tell your wife. What kind of boat did you get??

I used to have a 1977 SeaCraft 18' and enjoyed it very much. I had a "splash-gate" put in that dramatically reduced the water coming in over the transom (I presume you still have the 20" transom?).

Anyhow, the floor, just like in the 20' is below sealevel when people are standing in the stern area, so you will probably have scupper issues. Another area of interest is the in-floor fish box directly forward of the transom - unless yours is plumbed, the only way to drain that is while on plane or by bailing it out while at the dock and on hands and knees.

Check out the fuel tank if you have the console off, mine was in need of replacing and it was several years newer than yours if you still have the original one in there. I replaced mine with a 50 gallon tank instead of the much smaller one that was originally in there.
