Questions about a 1977 19' CC w I/0
 

Okay....another friend of mine has a 1977 Seacraft 19' with an I/O that is in his yard doing nothing. It is actually is in pretty good shape...just needs a new engine. Outdrive is like new. I am in the process of negotiating it's "GET OUT OF JAIL FOR FREE CARD" from him. It is a shame that it is not getting used.

What is the scoop on this model? When doing a restoration are most guys converting I/O's to outboards or just leaving them as is and repowering with a new engine & outdrive? How does it ride?
