Hey Guys....Great web site with alot of information. I have an opportunity to buy a 23 ft seacraft 1979.. The hull id is SECR 30920379... Can you tell by the hull id what model this boat is. Auction in 2 weeks and want to do some research on the boat...Also, is this a Potter built boat.....Thanks for your help..

Welcome to the site Capt Tim. I see you posted this question over on THT too. The boat is a 1979, the last two numbers give you the model year. Yes, this is a Potter hull. Good luck on the bidding.

As Scott said it is 1979 potter built boat. From my experience working for a car dealer/ finance company reping and selling cars, you can ussually get good deals on boats at auctions. If it is a private auction then you can get an even better deal. Also since it is after christmas prices wont be as high as they were the week before christmas.

welcome Capt Tim

3 = 23'
092 = 92nd hull of that model built
03 = March
79 = 1979

Potter left May 1980 so that SeaCraft is "Potter Built" Should be titled 1979.

Good Luck
