consule

We are looking at buying a 20 1978 with a 175hp .I live in Canada and am not familiar with Seacraft. The center consule seems to be very high on this boat and would be very hard to drive from a seated postion.
I do realize that normally when driving I would be standing, but sometimes if going slow it would be nice to be seated.
Has anybody noticed that the consules are very high or is it just the one on this boat?
