sad to sell

Can anyone give me some ideas what my 1971 20' cc is worth? She was stripped to the bone in 00'. New dark blue awlgrip outside and beige/white inside. (4x sanded 2x primer 2x awlgrip) 00' yamaha 150c. new hardware, scuppers re-packed, new tank. new load rite trailer in 02'. Honestly spotless except for the 2x 2' scratches on the gunwale from my reels rubbing. I'll try to figure out how to get the pictures up as soon as I can figure out how to work this digital camera...

e-mail me the pics @ john@striped-bass.com and I'll put them up for you...

Really tough to say what it's worth. There are a few restos on boattrader.com that are approaching their anniversary on that site. Not commanding the 20K price for the 30 year old boats. (although that one in NJ is S W E E T )

Endeavor,

My 20' CC is also a 1971 and from your description it sounds like it is in better shape. My boat has a Honda 130 (99) and it is in good shape with original weathered gelcoat. Deck is solid, new 50 gal. tank. Trailer is a 1969 Float On. Would not have sold it for less than $12,000.00 before all this resto work being done now. Yours should be worth $20,000 according to me - but I'm a SeaCraft nut and I think a restored'71 is worth a lot more than a new one (+ $30,000 no trailer?).

wow, I thought that was a picture of my boat! Mine is exactly the same color scheme minus the t-top and my boot stripe is a little higher in the bow, lower in stern. Thanks for info, sounds like 12-15k would be a quick sale for mine.

74 20i/o new motor and outdrive, no t-top or electronics , redone transom and everything else sound 8000. My buddy took delivery on it a couple of weeks ago. Ordered his t-top yesterday and I will make his curtains for him. Good deal I thought for 8k. craig

Endeavor - that one is pretty recent. Some others have had long stints on the sale pages and a year was an exageration. Realistic time for some of the ones on BT are 6 mos and some longer.

I'm guessing that based on what you are saying, mid teens is right but that's only a guess. I've done a lot of searching on these as have others. Unfortunately, I'm waiting until this winter. That's also given me the time to debate getting the 23

Some detailed pics will go a long way in getting more feedback...
