New 25 Seacraft

I recently checked out a new 25 Seacraft and it appeared to be well constructed and offered most of the features I'm looking for. I would appreciate any input i can get on the new 25. Overall construction, seaworthiness, ride ect. I would also like to get Trayders opinion on how he feels the 25 Seacraft compares to his 25 Contender.
Thanks.

I NEVER HAVE GONE FOR A RUN ON ONE BUT I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THEM AT THE BOAT SHOWS. THEY GOT TO RUN GREAT AFTER ALL THAT’S A SEACRAFT. I THINK THAT THEY WILL RIDE A LITTLE BETTER THAN THE 23’S WITH A BRACKET DUE TO THEY ARE A LITTLE WIDER THAN THE 23’S AND A LITTLE LONGER THAN A 23 WITH A BRACKET. THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND I’M SURE THEY WILL GIVE YOU A LITTLE BETTER RANGE AND SECURITY DUE TO BEING SET UP FOR TWINS. I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE A 27” SEACRAFT THERE’S NOT ENOUGH LENGTH BETWEEN THE 23’S AND THE 25’S TO MAKE MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE INSIDE OF THE BOAT LIKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 23 AND 25 CONTENDERS.

Fellow-Ship: Thanks for the reply. You make a great point about the need for a 27. A 27 with let's say a 9ft beam would be very sweet.

Hello Sepmerfly-

I posted an answer to this question on the FS site. I think the Seacraft 25 is a sharp sharp looking boat. It is much smaller than the 25 Contender and I did not feel its construction was on par with other manufacturers.

The hull design? well I think we all know the answer to that

My offer still stands if you want to see the Contender feel free to drop in. Currently I have a 25 and the 27cuddy in my driveway.

What's the "FS" site? Haven't heard of that one.... What is the beam on the 25 Contender?

Re: New 25 Seacraft

"FS" = Florida Sportsman

The beam on the Contender is 8,6"

Trayder: Thanks for the info and the offer to check out the Contender, I might take you up on the offer.
