HI BRIGUY,
THE 6" POP UPS ARE TOO SMALL. I USE 2 8" ACCONS
IN THE BOW OF MY 23' AND THEY TAKE 1/2" LINE
WELL.

Is 10 inches too big?

I recently bought an Accon 10 inch pop up cleat on ebay. I thought it would look good as a single cleat on the bow of my 23' CC.(along with an accon pop up bow light) Now I am thinking maybe I should have gotten a 6 or 8 inch one instead. A 31 contender I looked at this weekend looked like it only had a single 6 inch pop up. Any thoughts on the bow cleat? How about the spring cleats, should I go with 4 or 6 inch pop ups? As for ebay, you can really score some outrageous deals. That 10" Accon cleat lists for $152 and I got it new for $26. Boatersworld also runs continuous auctions with about 200 items at any given time.

Geez Briguy-

Good question. For my 20 I have an 8 inch Accon. I would think a 10 would be fine for a 23. If you think otherwise I will buy yuor 10 for $35,

At least you won't have popup envy!

Briguy are you having that Seacraft rendezvous again in Sarasota/Bradenton this October? What a success that one in April was. The Whaler's are gonna do it on the 12th(saturday) at Beercan beach, let's combine the 2.

I saw a new pathfinder 23 at Beercan beach here in Sarasota Florida. OHHHHHHH someone makes POP UP CHALKS! Now that's cool.
