Seacraft Years

I have been asking many people about this issue. What were the years that Seacraft went through a change and when did Seacraft come out of that change to be where they are today??? I believe there was a time in the 80's and early 90's when Seacrafts changed in ownership, or something. This was also the time when the Seacraft hull cahnged in physical appearance and so forth. I hear people talking about the Tracker years??? I currently own a 1984 Seacraft and it is awesome!!! It is just like a new model Seacraft except from all the bright work which makes the book look even more beautiful. I would love to find out more information because I really em a big time Seacraft fan. Never would buy another boat with all the fishing we do???

1979 mid year was the biggest change. I believe amf bought them in 82 or 83, then sold to tracker.

Trevor,
What Rich posted seems to be pretty accurate, except that Mako Marine now owns SeaCraft and I don't think there is any affiliation with Tracker anymore. Welcome to the board by the way.

Fisher,
AMF never owned SeaCraft. CSY purchased SC from Bill Potter in 1979 and then CSY sold to Tracker in 1987.
