32' New SC at BPS in Baltimore
 

Just thought folks in my area might be interested. Sitting out front, shrink wrapped for the time being. Yellow hull with twin Merc 225 Otis. It is HUGE.

Interesting thing is, that store has probably sold only 2-3 SC's in the 2 years its been open. I'm surprised that they put a boat like that on the lot...

What does BPS stand for?? Bass Pro Shop?? Anyway, I live on the eastern shore of Maryland and rarely ever see any Seacraft's around, espically out on the Chesapeake Bay. Just dont think many people know about Seacraft's around our parts. Only if they knew what they are missing out on!!!

Yes, its the "Outdoor World" (Bass Pro Shops) off of the Balt-Wash P'way. They have had a 20' master angler there for over two years that just won't sell, and I keep asking them to call me when they cut the price, which they oddly refuse to do. At one point a salesman told me that Makos walk off the lot but that they can't sell SeaCrafts to save their lives. It is a hard proposition when those are the only two boats you sell (BPS owns Tracker), everyone around here knows Mako, and the Makos are $10k cheaper for the same size boat.

I just figured folks in this area would get a kick out of climbing around inside and inspecting a new 32'.

Seacraft is not the kind of boat you can sell well at the KMart of fishing.

Its my experience that the Seacraft Brand's worst enemy is you local BPS store.

How can you have a convincing salesman who has never even been for a ride on a SeaCraft?

Get the potential Seacraft buyers on the water and the boat will sell itself. When I bought mine, I had to go all the way to New Jersey for a seatrial - I had my checkbook out before we got back to the dock!

The BPS floor models, are dirty, mostly damaged and targeted to a very unsophisticated audience by arrogant A$$hole JackA$$es who would rather turn the easy Mako vs. the far superior and marginaly more expensive SeaCraft.

Couple that with the spin doctors and know it alls (courtesy of the internet) and you have a real piece of $hit on your hands.

JM needs to get a grip.

One more thing. . .

I am a SeaCraft evangelist and have had my fingers at least 15 new model purchases in the year or so the Baltimore BPS has been open. Funny thing - none of them were bought in Maryland or from BPS.

I was over at the BPS about a month ago and they had the 23CC out in display as soon as you walked in the store. I think it was a 2002 model, navy blue hull, 225 OPtimax, price was around 53K. Everyone is right though, if you havent taken a Seacraft for a seatrial nor heard about the boat, the idiot will chose the cheaper boat. Oh well, like I said before, there the ones missing out!!
