WELL I BROUGHT HOME THE NEW POWER PLANT FOR MY RESURRECTION TODAY. A MERCURY 250 EFI 30" SHAFT, SOON TO BE MOUNTED ON AN ARMSTRONG BRACKET. BRAND NEW IN THE BOX WITH THREE YEAR'S OF FACTORY WARRANTY FOR SO MUCH LESS THAN THE YAM HPDI 250,THAT IT'LL COVER THE COST OF THE BRACKET AND T-TOP +++. TIMING IS EVERYTHING,,,, LUCK HELP'S TOO!!! YES!!!! 1,IT'S A LEFT HAND ROTATION, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER IN A SINGLE APLICATION FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD

Keep us posted on how you make out on both the Merc 250 and the bracket. I always thought that using a bracket made more sense if it was mounted higher with a 30" shaft engine. Everytime I look at brackets mounted for 25" shaft engines, I cringe at the thought of those expensive powerheads potentially getting dunked during a following sea or while crashing through an inlet.

Sounds like you got a hell of deal....good job.
