I was wondering if anyone has a Mercury 125hp on there 20. I am looking at one? performance?

THANKS CAPTAIN BRIAN. FOR THE INFO. ARE MOST MERCS GAS HOGS THOUGH. I HAVE A FRIEND WITH ONE 225 HP 1996 FOR SALE. THAT ENGINE IS A GAS HOGGED TOO.

John,
Although I'm no expert, I think the gas hogs are the carb'd and/or EFI models. The Optimax versions are better on fuel because of the DI technology.

Can anyone translate the words "gas hog" into numbers?

i.e. => x.x GPH at xxxx rpm
