Wet feet.

Has anyone come with a solution to water coming back up through the cockpit drains? I have plug that I put it when I am not moving put when I wash down the cockpit the water build sup and if I pull the plugs the water doesn't drain. The boat is a 73' I/O. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

They are designed to drain while underway. If you look under the boat forward of the drains there should be a slight bump in the hull. This causes a low pressure area at the drain to bull the water off the deck. I usually keep mine plugged until I have to wash the deck down and pull them when under way to drain. If you leave them out you can get quite a bit of water in the boat pretty fast if your not paying attention while fighting a fish.
