Windshield for an 18?

When I shipped my boat to St Thomas the windshield got broken. Nobody local here seems able/qualified to make a new one...anybody had recent good luck getting a new one made up? Who/where/how much?

I think there was an old thread about this some time back...anyone have recomendations re: lexan, plexiglass, etc.?

Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian

I got one done here and took my cracked one to a local guy and he made one out of tinted plexi for me for like $200, maybe less and it works a treat and looks great. I am sure someone will point you to someone in FLA who can make one for you, if not you can send me the windshield (unfortunately I didn't keep my old cracked one, and new one is tedious to remove) and I'll get him to make you one and ship it back to you.

Just a tip, when putting on a new one, I put in some rubber washers: they cut down on the jarring which over time causes hairline cracks around the windshield base.
