Picked up new tank
I picked up my new gas tank yesterday. A big thanks to Rich who gave me info on these guys at Luther's Welding in Bristol RI http://www.lutherswelding.com/boat_gas_tanks.html and they did an awesome job on a new tank for my 20 SF Very high quality welding job. I brought them the factory tank (29 years old) and they made an exact duplicate of it. I highly recomend these guys for a tank job. Price was $450 plus tax it came with new sender and it was coated also. Now I just need some Florida weather to get it all put back together!

Re: Picked up new tank
What is the capacity of the tank? What was it coated with? Watched a program on Shipshape T.V., they coated a tank with coal? or cold tar epoxy. How long did it take them to build the tank?

Re: Picked up new tank
It was only about two weeks from the time I dropped the old tank off which was the original 47 gal rectangualar(under deck) tank. Its coated with a clear sealer kind of soft not hard like an epoxy not exactly sure what its called. It should last as long if not longer than the original.
