Finster,
West marine has a bunch of sizes in stainless.
I was looking for stainless powder coated in white, but gave up for a while.

What's wrong with screws?

Re: Rivits

Try Chesapeake Marine Fastners in Annpolis, lots of stainless screws, bolts, and other ss stuff. They may have a handle on the powder coated rivets. FYI if the rivets are gone they were not stainless, be prepared for a work out they are alot tougher than the aluminum.
My rig has lots of screws about a#10 x1 pan head.

Thanks for that JW.
Otto, the reason I don't want to use screws is, they don't seat flush enough for the rubrail on top.

I think I'll be replacing all my wood type screws with machine screws and ny-lock nuts.

Re: Rivits

Chris,

I counter-sunk (sinked) s/s screws with 5200 and had only a small crown left. Actually, a better job than what I found.

I thought about through bolting with nylok nuts, but... nah.

Have fun.

Otto and Jim, good ideas. I think I'll counter-sink-sunk-sinkeded and go with ny-nuts.
