18ft Seacraft question...
Has anyone closed in the transom and added a jackplate instead of a bracket? Is so what was the cost and was it done right? Help?

Re: 18ft Seacraft question...
added a jackplate but did not close the transom. Cost: $300. This allowed enough room to add hydraulic steering and a higher splash gate made from starboard which helped the water intrusion issues.

Re: 18ft Seacraft question...
the splash gate was inside the boat and nowhere near the jackplate. I'll email you photos directly.
