A little help please
 

I'm a new member here but a long time Seacraft admirer. I'm also looking for an early 70's 23 foot CC restoration project. I realize these boats are more common down south and, in particular, the Florida area. I have been checking the few sources I know on line without success. I would appreciate it if anyone could post or email me with any information. I'm in no rush, but I have cash in hand and will hop on the right boat.

I had zoned in on a boat a few weeks ago on Ebay but at the last minute I hestitated and lost out. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I suggest you check back through this forum and e-mail anyone that was selling a boat that might interest you. That's how I bought my boat. In August I contacted a member that had posted his boat for sale in April. It was still available, and at at a much reduced price. Good luck.

Check out boat trader online and Yachtworld frequently. They come and go quick. Also iboats.com. E-bay moves a little quicker and dosen't lend itself to viewing and negotiation so you take your chances there unless you already know the boat. You will find that the guys on this site usually post what the see on the newspapers ect as soon as they see it. Also if theres a boat thats too far away to see post it and one of the members will usually be near the area to check it out for you. We've got the best guys on the web here and they all know their SeaCrafts . Welcome to the forum.

Guy from Maryland picked the boat up on Wednesday.
Keep looking you will find another boat.

Believe me no one is kicking themselves harder than myself. If I could of turned back the clock I would of just bought it with my own cash.

I spent a day checking marinas, insurance companies and finally was contacted with a broker/surveyor. I was told the cost to get an appraisal would of been $500-$700 and it would of taken a few days to get the actual paperwork. That's time I didn't have, as you know.

Now I'm back here at step one. It sucks!

If you don't find anything by next Jan contact Boatsaver@earthlink.net. He buys 70's SeaCrafts when in FLA.
