78 Sceptre

Re: 78 Sceptre
That looks pretty clean for the year and hasn't had bottom paint. Chances are that since its been stored out of the water transom is possibly in good shape too. Good one to jump on at the price IMO.

Re: 78 Sceptre
Man, I wish that would have been on the market when I bought the gee-dub a few years ago. That boat is beautiful!!!
|
Re: 78 Sceptre
That truly is the cleanest, original looking Sceptre I have ever seen.
If someone is in the market for that type of boat, or knows someone who is - you should get them on it - QUICK! It will not stay around long. |
Re: 78 Sceptre
Thats too good to be true. I can't imagine it's still around.

Re: 78 Sceptre
someone should Run, don't walk (pending survey of course)

Re: 78 Sceptre
Looks like a beautiful restoration. Nice job, who ever did it.

Re: 78 Sceptre
Jim,
I think that ones still origional. Helm seats are the only thing that looks new from the pic. |
Re: 78 Sceptre
Dave, I thought so too, but then noticed the helm panel. It should be the full width of the console and behind the helm. The rod holders look suspect too. Transom hatch looks like teak. Aft cleats aren’t Marinium.
What are the “dots” on the deck from the engine hatch going to starboard? |
Re: 78 Sceptre
I don't know? It looks original to me.
The only things I find suspect are the window brace's and the stern box hatches which are teak. If it we're a resto I dought it would be selling for that price. My friend is heading to his house in Port St. Lucie tomorrow and is interested in it, and plans to check it out. I'll let you guys know. |
