Gunwale rod racks

I have a '85 18' open fish...trying to find original teak gunwale rod holders. The previous owner removed them and I'd like to replace them.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I also had an 18' in which I removed the teak and replaced with Starboard racks. I would suspect your best bet would be to take a template or drawing to a woodworker or shop and have them custom made. I would be very surprised if you can find the exact original version available commercially.

I agree with Mark, replace them with starboard. That's what I did on my 20'.

I agree with Mark and Houdini...Starboard. I took the original teak rod holders off my 20 Sceptre and replaced w/ Starboard. I gave my teak rod holders to my brother...his wife now uses them as...are you ready for this.....decorative candle holders inside their home...UGH!!! why did it have to come to that???

While my preference is for something other than the teak racks that the boat came with (I find them to be less than kind to rod handles), you may find some teak racks that you could adapt to work on the 18' at Marine Connection Liquidators in Ft Pierce. The last time I was in there they had a variety of teak racks that could be adjusted to work.

If you still have the rod racks, I'd be interested in buying them from you. What year is your 18?
