The Reel Guys

Thought some of you may be interested - I was watching ESPN2 yesterday morning and the Reel Guys (Hoot & Flakes) were fishing with a guy off Long Island aboard his classic 23 CC. Didn't catch the name of the owner or the exact location, but they were fishing a rip jigging for stripers (that narrows in down, huh?). Nice boat, pretty much original - no T-top, canvas, etc, just a very pretty original CC - in my opinion this is how they look their best.

The Captains name is Bob or Bill Benett(can't recall his first name). The boat is docked at Orient by the Sea marina at Orient Pt., Long Island. They were fishing at the Race between Fishers and Little Gull Islands. The light house was on Little Gull.

I've seen that segment a couple times,it's only about a 5 minute gig.Don't know if they'll show it again. We fish next to each other a few times each year. I'm guessing it's a 70's hull with a recent 225 yami.
