Now on my board, you can get a pop-up when on the site or an e-mail or both. Your choice when you set up your account - I did not see anything on here when I set up my account but I think we were running the board with even less options then...

OK - just took another look at the profile. If you go to My Profile -> Veiw / Edit Profile -> towards the bottom you'll see where you can select to be notified when you have a PM ...

This is not selected by default - you need to select it...

Oh Man, I had no Idea I even turned the PM feature on.... I went to see mine and there are 20+ yikes, I am sorry to all of those who sent me PM's I am so used to E-mail I nevr even checked. Sorry about that I will reply to them ASAP.

Taking another look at the situation, I went and checked the notify option and it was turned on. I had assumed that Trayder saw my post and turned it on for me. Seems that is not the case. It seems that for this feature to work you need to be able to relay through some system that provides smtp services. Trayder, Do you have it configured that way?

Good point Rich... Usually in the system configuration page where it asks for the relative paths & urls will be a section asking for SMTP host, you should be able to get away with mail.classicseacraft.com . This will allow forwarding of those requests.

Is there a way you can configure the site to notify if you have any Private messages waiting? I looked at my profile the other day and noticed that someone had sent me a private message over a month ago.
