Some really fantastic Channel bass fishing-catching

Mike and myself got blitzed late yesterday afternoon and evening-We left Lynnhaven and got anchored up around 3 /330 and set up our chum line.We were fishing on some shoals along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel,Tide was pretty dead but it didnt take long for it to start coming in. Wasn't too long after that before we had our first run and Mike caught his first cobia/ release with a nice 52" fish. Slow for a while until I picked up my first cobia /release with a nice 49" release. The sun started to go down and then all hell broke loose. First Mike hooks up with what would be the smallest fish of the night,40"red drum. Then it was one big drum after another with 7 more boated and released from 47"to 52". Lost one other big fish alongside the boat (Palm Beach release) , and had several other good runs including one hook-up where the 50 lb test Ande just broke never seeing the fish. Upon futher inspection the line was all fravseled and in poor shape where it broke. Keeping a lonng story long one of the fish we caught in the fracus had the line that had broken in his mouth and had come back for seconds ! Unbelievable !! This fish was gut-hooked by that lost hook when the line broke but swam away apparently none the worse for wear. All the other fish were nicely hooked in the corner of the mouth. All fish caught on 11/0 full circle hooks using 100 lb test clear Ande leader (3'), using 6 oz of lead and fishing in 13/14' of water. All caught on Menhaden.
Final tally for the night was 9 citation fish and Im one sore "PUP" this morning. Craig
