It's rather amusing how on the other fishing boards many people are doubting the authenticity of this fish. Personally I believe the report and the photo looks legit, but a lot of guys are doubting it, I'm sure mostly due to "cow envy" [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] .

Thats a nice piece of fish...I know that I would not be able to hold 69.15 lbs with my fingers. there has to be a wire somewhere. Its not that i doubt it but..he doesn't seem to be struggling.

The fish is supported by a pole, most likely inserted under the gill cover or stuck into the head with some sort of spike or prongs.

thanks for the fyi...i guess i'm bitter now because usually i'm in hilton head now with the family on vacation and shark fishing. due to the lousy treasury market with my job i sent the wife and kids along and i stayed behind. missn fishin

We had the same discussion on my site - looks legit to me but a lot of people think it's faked....
