Stand-up Shark Fishing from Shore!

Any of you guys see this? With these toothy critters roaming the surf, I wouldn't want to be the one to hop on the surfboard and paddle the baits out.

Holy cow! I can't believe someone could actually land a 9ft Mako from the beach. Damn...I am jealous.

There is a guy in San Diego who paddles a mile or two out on his longboard and routinely catches sharks while sitting on the board. I think he mostly catches Thresher sharks..

Ps - if you ever swam in the waters off Nantucket or the Vineyard...I am sure a shark or two have been very close without you even knowing

Lots of it done here on the mid atlantic coast- the barrier islands of Va's eastern shore are loaded with big spawning lemons, sand tigers in the summer in 3 ft of water. Head down around frisco NC(hatteras)and people get spooled on the pier every night. Dont think you would want to go swimming at night here either(daytime for that matter). Not sure if frisco pier is still there or not.they did finally get the road back in from hatteras village to the rest of the island.
