New SeaCraft 28?
There's a rumor over on THT that Tracker will be releasing a new 28'er. Can anyone confirm this?
It doesn't sound right for a company that just high-tailed it out of Florida would introduce a new model so soon. But I like the size... |
Re: New SeaCraft 28?
A salesman from Out Door World boat department told me the same thing approx 6 months ago at the same time he also told me that they were going to move their plant. Sounds correct to me although I haven’t heard anything else about the subject. Personally I think that would be a good move for SeaCraft to do a 28 footer. The differences between the 23 and 25 footers aren’t enough but if they had a 28 footer that could be a great 2 engine boat that still could be put on a trailer.

I agree. Dump the 25 for a 28 w/ 8'6 beam and twin 200's. Console cuddy! Oh please!

Re: New SeaCraft 28?
I spoke to McKee Yacht Sales regarding this. They confirmed that a 28 is in the works, but the move to Forest City has been problematic at best. We might see a 2005 model. The regional SeaCraft Rep will at the McKee booth in AC.
I want to thank the folks at McKee for answering the questions and offering me 2 free tickets for the AC show. No 5 boat theory. I'm taking FellowShip's advice and selling 2 boats and enjoying the remaining 2 twice as much. |

Otto, go for it I'll put you up for awhile after the wife give you the boot.
Oh, and please don't post a picture of a 28 in my back yard. I don't my my wife booting me too. |
Re: New SeaCraft 28?
Maybe with a bow pulpit and bracket with swim platform, I could turn the 23 into a 28. It would be cheaper!
