Wanted Cheap Sea Craft 18-23 feet

Hi my name is Sonny. Me and a friend want a used Sea Craft to fix up. Preferably no motor. But we are young and dont have a lota money. 0-4000 is our range. Maybe a little more. We are located in Alabama so anywhere around here or FLA.

good luck!! In my opinion there is no such thing. I just bought a 73 20 with a 84 evinrude 150. The boat is really in good shape and you really wouldnt believe how good that old motor runs. That being said, by the time I have all the things done to this boat that I want Ill be in to the tune of at least $15,000 maybe more depending on how far I go on this boat

just keep your eye on boattraderonline.com, 20's come along that are within the numbers you stated. However, like the previous post suggests, by the time you get done with it, you will have a good chunk of change invested in it. If you are willing to go that route, it can be rewarding but it requires the frequent infusion of substantial cash while getting it back into shape.

Best of luck -

Sonny,

Welcome to Classic SeaCraft.

Keep searching the web and the "usual" boat web sites and you will eventually find one in your price range. As long as it's seaworthy, it doesn't have to be pretty to be a SeaCraft. Pretty can come later.

I suggest you focus on the 18 or 20. The 23 is a pretty "big" boat, depending on your use. Regardless, you should absolutely follow through with this project. You'll never regret it!

Keep your eye on ebay as well. I've seen some real gems pop up there.

Two other sites to watch are www.projectboats.net and www.usauctions.com. Currently they both have '20 I/O powered Seafaris listed that should go for well within your price range.

Good luck with your project! Remember to give us lots of pics!

I have a 23' Tsunami with a new transom as well as every piece
needed to restore it to original...no kidding.

I also have a brand new bracket, a 'young' '93 Johnson 200HP, and all new original instruments and harnesses.

If intrerested, please call me on my mobile, in Florida, 954-850-8458.

Wes
