draining fuel tank
Anybody got any ideas how to pump the fuel from my gas tank, other than siphoning which tastes horrible! It is still in the boat, I went to West Marine and my local auto parts store and there seems to be no pump to be able to do this the "easy" way. Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance.

Put a longer hose on you fuel bulb were it goes to the engines and use it to start your siphoning. It's a little slow, but it works.

Re: draining fuel tank
I have used an external in line electric fuel pump (for autos), also good to use if there is water in the tank, you make the fuel hose loop back into the tank and run it thorugh a water separating filter...just shake the boat every once in a while.
I bought my used electric fuel pump on ebay and sold it a month later for more than I paid for it. |
