Strength of pop-up cleats??????

Looking for input on accon 6" pop up cleats, I am going to use them on the bow and spring cleats, but curious if its a good idea to use them on the stearn , just in case I might need to tow someone,

What do you think?

IMO, for towing you should use tow rings on the transom. The force of pulling another boat may be too much for the pop-up cleat to handle. Accon puts out a good product, perhaps the best out there. I'll be putting them on my boat very soon.

I used to work for one of Those "TOW" companies(before Towboat/Seatow) came around.Ive had a Tow bit Yanked right off the Deck, Use the Rings on the stearn/or on the bow for towing Never Bits,or Nylon rope !!When it parts it'll cut Ya in Half ,Or You'd wish it would have.Poly pro.strong, visible & No Memory.
We have very little tide change down here,Buttttt My center 4" pull up held my 20' at a nice list one day.pretty strong !
