$3.00 upgrade for your CC

I've got 2 ideas to make your life easier if you own a 23 CC with the front door that swings out. (Master Angler) My one problem was when closing the door it would make a slamming sound that wasn't pleasant. I simple bought some pads that are about the size of a quarter that are designed to stick to the bottom leg of furnature. They are more or less made of felt with a sticky side. Well, I stuck two of those on my door and now when it closes it does it nice and softly and they don't interfear with the locking mechanism.

Idea #2. Whenever women are on board it seems they bring all kinds of stuff they don't need and in order to keep it dry, it winds up inside my CC. The stuff just usually winds up inside the door or piled somewhere inside the CC. I was at Lowes and in the shelving area saw some stick on hooks. They are about 2 inches long and have a sticky backing. Just stick a few of these inside your CC and now you have a place to keep her stuff high and dry. This weekend I hung a beachbag weighing about 6 pounds and the hook stayed in place. Good luck.

Hey Bri

How about an idea to keep that same center console door open while I'm inside looking for tackle. I hate it slamming me in the back as the boat rolls in the seas...

Hoop,

I hook a bungee cord from the inside CC door to my recessed bowrail. Maybe mounting one of those gas pistons for keeping a car hood open would be a better idea.

I was going to install one of those spring like devices that you have to bend the spring and then the door will close. Anyway I bought the thing but ended up using it on something else because of the water channel lip on the center consol causes a problem on installing a hydraulic or spring type door opener. I am sure I could have built up the inside to make it work but I figured that would be a 12 pack job for a one beer problem. I ended up using a bungee cord as well.

It is amazing how some of the best ideas are the simplest ones! I can't wait to get my new console so I can put hooks in it cuz that would mean that I was almost done
