200 Yahama Performance

Any comments regarding the performance, I should expect from a '2000 200HP 2 stroke Yahama? I was thinking a 225 or 250 but have stumbled into this 200.
I have a 23' '85 Seacraft CC.

Thanks Rich

I spend a lot of time on a regulator 21 with a 2001 200hp hpdi. the engine is flawless, can't enough good things about it. It moves the reg21 at 46mph. i would expect almost the same, a little less, on your 23

Hi Dink
Most guys would say that would be a little under powered especially with a full load of people and gas. I have a 225 two stroke Yamaha and love it. Most guys would also say that the 225 four stroke is not enough either. If it was me I would pass and stay on your original motor selection.

I have an 1984, 23 CC powered with a 200 Yamaha SWS. The power is okay however if I could do it over again I would get a Yammi 225 or 250. 225 should be plenty though!!

Good luck.

I am thinking of putting a 250 suzuki four stroke on a 23 seacraft. Have any of you heard of the performance I might suspect.
