\"OUZO\" is back!
 

Hey guys,

First, i would like to give a special thanks to "Ed Mancini". He did great work on adding knees and more glass to complete my transom. I had the transom replaced last year, but contracted Ed to "beef" it up for the new Suzy DF140.

It is still early, but i am pretty happy with Suzy DF140 for repower. She is quiet, smoke free, burns few gallons!

Went with SeaStar hydraulic steering and decided to also add 1723C NavNet radar ... it is only $$.

Here are some early stats with an alum 19P prop( thinking of a SS 20P prop);

2K, 6mph, 1gph
3K, 11mph, 3gph
4K, 23mph, 5gph
5K, 30mph, 8gph
5.8K, 36mph, 10gph, WOT

What are you other DF140 guys running for props???

Nick, I also have the DF140 suzuki on my '72 20' cc.I'm currently running a 14x21 aluminum prop that was supplied with the engine. At wot I'm turning 5600 rpm and showing 41 mph on the gps. I want to get the rpms up some [I think the wot should be 5600-6200] so I am switching to a 14x19. aluminum. I should be able to get up on plane faster but don't want my top speed to suffer. I'll keep you posted. Gary

You're welcome and congrats...the boat is looking good. You know have enough electronics on that old gal to sail alongside the Queen Mary.

You should have put twin 200's on the rear....god only knows that transom can handle it now.

Ed, you know i will put the transom to the test and all the electronics give me something to do when the fish stop jumping into the boat.

Anyone else running have some prop/specs with the DF140 on the 20'?? Trayder?

Looking at Suzuki web site, the SS 3x14x20P seems to get most boats in the 2000lb range in the low 40's.

I may give that a try?

I tried the stainless SS 3x14x20P this weekend.

Performance #'s seemed very close to the 19P aluminum #'s above.

I have a SS 3x14x18P to try this weekend.
