could anyone help me, i have what i believe from seeing your pics, that i have a 23 sceptre, is there any way to obtain any info on that particular boat from the hull id number?
I just purchased it and do not know anything about it. just that it is a 1981 seacraft 23. the previous ownes said to me in "secret that it was a 25' but i think he is counting the wood platform in the bow and the wooden swim decks. Please help anyone??? |

Rene,
Here are the images of your 23 Sceptre. Nice example of a terrific built boat. The last 2 number of the Hull ID number will confirm the year built. Best of luck. Re: SeaCraft 23
They probably didn't biuld a 25 in in 81, that was not a big seller in the 70's because there was not enough good power avail. to make it run right, the 25 was a hard boat to get enough power to, the 23 was a much better boat anyway. The 25 had a 25 degree deadrise and an 8' beam very narrow and needed a lot of power. I sold them back then, the only power was I/O wish we had these big OB's back then.
