Replacing the floor

Well in a week or so i will be ready to start replacing the floor on my 20 cc I will be relocating the scuppers to the far back corner now that the splashwell and compartments are gone. my question is how much if any at all should I raise the floor? ive heard an inch, but will that really make a difference, keep in mind with the scuppers going into the corners they will be sitting lower to the waterline than normal. Just wondering if any one has any suggestions, Id really hate to go through making this boat perfect and then have water coming up through the scuppers. thanks

huh im sure as soon as this boat is done ill have a couple of "theorys"

Re: Replacing the floor

I know of at least three 20's that raised the floor about 2.5-2.75". Two of the owners were very happy with the results and the third has yet to splash the boat.
