\"Quick Release\"

A new marine dealer just opened up near my house (Metan Marine) I probably wouldn't have noticed except there sitting in the front lot was a nice 23'CC "Quick Release". Didn't have a chance to take a closer look but it appears to be restored; navy blue hull, dual IO's, T top, very sharp looking. Was wondering if anyone on the site own's this one? Will stop by and ask the $$$ if anyones interested.

Metan Marine moved from behind the owner's house to this new facility recently. Looks like a nice shop. That blue 23 belongs to a charter guy in Scituate, can't remember his name though.

How has the bass fishing been for you guys? How's your father doing?

Re: \"Quick Release\"

Hi Scott - I was late in getting my boat in due to my turkey hunting addiction and missed the "big off shore blitz". My brother Chris and my dad hit the fish good around the m.day holiday weekend and took about 30 fish up to 30 lbs. on 1 trip. Subsequent trips produced lesser #'s but still all big fish. Last weekend we took about a dozen from about 27" to 38". The old man kicked our butts as he took all the bigger fish. He doesn't hear or see very well these days and has been getting a little forgetful but he still remembers how to set the hook. Hope I'm still as active on the plus side of 80! Marked some fish Sun. at your "inside spot" but I broke off about 200 ft. of wire on my first pass and didn't have any other gear to fish deep (30+ ft.)
The Metan website sure has some nice looking Seacrafts on it. The place is about 1/4 mi. from my house; might have to go make a new friend for when my "71" finally hits the wall!

Yo John

Those SeaCrafts @ Metan are not fully restored yet as none of them have a Potter Built "HDS" like yours http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-044.gif

Tell them to click here for theirs ---> "HDS"

John, that's all that counts then! I hope to be half as good a fisherman as your father some day. See you OTW.

My brother told me about this boat a week ago, said it was a Seacraft with twin inboards? So I had to see for myself.Definately a sharp looking boat.I stopped in and spoke to the owner and said it was restored,I'm not sure to what extent, asked a price and he said $30's. Said they do all kinds of marine work and restoration. He is working on a 20' cc for a customer. He also owns a Sceptre-think it's a 23'

Yup, I'm moored on the Weir River in Hull and sokinwet is slipped at Tern Harbor in Weymouth. My father's SC is slipped at Hewitt's Cove in Hingham.
