Anchor size?

What size anchor or pound of "holding power" I should have for a 19' S/C B/R. I anchor at the Island in the Gulf of Mexico in sand.

Not sure what size, but make sure you get a chain. Maybe 6-8 feet of it. Without it you will be dragging all over in windy conditions.

4lb Fortress is you want to spend the bucks or an 8lb danforth. 8 feet of chain in minimum.

I have a 8 pound Danforth with 3ft of chain, works great on my 19 B/R in the wide range of bottom conditions here in NJ. 200ft of rope too..
