Dodge Ramcharger as a tow vehicle?

Hi everyone just wanted some input. I recently purchased a mint condition 85 ramcharger 318 , danalocker rear end, etc.
Im toying with the idea of selling my 20 seafari and moving to a 23. Will this vehicle safely pull it ? or does anyone have any experience towing with the older ramchargers? Ive been told its tow cap is anywhere from 5k to 7k? any feed back would be appreciated
Bigger boat would mean more rodholders hmmmmm >:)

We bought one when we purchased our 1977, 23 c.c. Pulled great but a little thirsty. Use to tow it from Mobile, Al to Vince, La once a year. Also towed a friend of mine's 26' Robalo. Just make sure it has a Transmission cooler. It was a great truck!

I used to own a 1988 Ramcharger with the 318. I had 4 wheel drive and a transmission oil cooler. Serviced the cooling system, rear end, transfer case, transmission and oil on a regular scheduled basis. I pulled my 23' to the keys and also over to the west coast of Fla from Stuart on several occasions. On the long hauls, I would try not to have the fuel tank topped off until I arrived. It performed very good back and forth to the local ramps. Even thou it would bog down a little on the high bridges http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-021.gif I sold it in 1996 with 177K miles and it still was running fine http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-021.gif

The body paint was a different story http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-039.gif
