I wanted to introduce my self and give a description of my 23' Sea Craft. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging but I love my boat and just want to share my info with everyone. I will try to have some more pictures posted. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks!

I have a 1978, 23' Sea Craft (Potter built) completely re-done in 1998 from the hull up. The boat is powered by a 230hp Yanmar diesel and has twin 45 gallon fuel tanks. She runs at an honest 24-25 kts burning about 7-8 gallons per hour turning a 16 x 19, nibral 4 blade. She'll top out at 29-30 kts. For trolling for bass she also has a trolling valve to slow her down when needed. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/...ide_view_1.jpg She has a navy blue painted hull and white decks and inside. She has a t-top with riggers, epirb and radar mounted on top. She has a Vetus bow thruster to help docking her and a complete electronics package including a 951 Northstar GPS, a Raytheon radar with chartplotter, Icom VHF, Raytheon fishfinder and autopilot, AM/FM CD player with Bose speakers, and a spot light mounted on the bow. She has full eisenglass enclosure with 10 different pieces to use at various times. An engine compartment heater for the colder months keeps the engine at 50 degrees at all times. A battery charger and floor heater is on her as well. I have gunwale lights and bilge lights on her as well as lights off the t-top. Saltwater wash down and under gunwale rod storage. Living in Jersey we have to run offshore to do most fishing so I also have a 4-man life raft that stores in the custom leaning post. The fish well in the floor up front has held 5 - 80lb yellowfins in the past and the insulated fishbox in the transom holds our other fish. I have 2 swivel mounted and re-enforced rod holders in the transom as well as one in the bow for using the heavier tackle when the giants move through. I also have a Load-rite roller trailer to travel with. I head to Ocean City, MD every year and fish her down there as well. The boat does have a lot a extras you'd find on some bigger boats her name is "EXTREME" and it seems to fit her pretty well. Take care.

awesome boat ! i love the lines on the 23' inboard- i have the 21' outboard and fish out of brick nj- see you on the water !

Extreme- sweet boat... what size / mfr shaft and wheel are
you using? Any cup in it? Thanks for any advice you can provide...

Very nice rig.

I was fishing my SeaCraft up the street from you today. We slogged our way down to sandy hook reef. I have a 1972 restored 23' SeaCraft w/twin 200 Yamahas. The boat usually rides very nice. However, i was having trim tab issues today (which made for a bumpy ride).

We caught a ton of short seabass, along with some keepers. Also,caught some nice tog and one big ling.

We then tried some fluking off the beach (in about 25 feet of water). Caught a bunch of shorts and rolled some decent fish. On the way back in we tried fluking off of the nude beach (a couple of shorts) and in the Reach we caught some more shorts.

The water was about 10 degrees colder in the ocean than in the bay. Very few boats out today.

nothing wrong with loving your boat. We all do and it drives our women nuts. Nice boat, I am also out of shark river at AP marina. see ya around.
